From 20 – 29 July 2024, a study tour to Beijing and Gansu Province was organized for the winning teams of the 16th Hong Kong Cup Diplomatic Knowledge Contest.
In Beijing, students visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs where they were able to observe the press conference hosted by Spokesperson Ms Mao Ning at the Blue Hall. Following the conference, students were excited to interact with Ms. Mao, gaining valuable insights from her experiences. Moreover, a sharing session was held where young diplomats discussed their work and challenges, providing students with a deeper understanding of diplomatic practices. Other highlights of the tour included visits to the Palace Museum, the Museum of the Chinese Communist Party, the China Nuclear Industry Science and Technology Museum, and Beijing High-level Autonomous Driving Demonstration Area.
