Hosted by the American University of Beirut, the 16th Annual Conference of the Arab-U.S. Association of Communication Educators (AUSACE) was held in Beirut from 28 – 31 October 2011. Sponsored by the Better Hong Kong Foundation, a group of three distinguished academia in journalism from Hong Kong participated in and delivered presentations in the conference. The conference theme tackled two current, pressing, and interdependent concepts: digital literacy and media literacy, and their evolutionary and revolutionary roles in contemporary media education, media practices, and media policies.
