A Members of Congress delegation from the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus (CAPAC) visited the Mainland China and Hong Kong from 27 August – 4 September 2011. The Better Hong Kong Foundation sponsored the delegation to visit Hong Kong from 1 – 3 September. Congresswoman Judy Chu, Congressman Michael Honda and Congressman Eni F H Faleomaevaga led the delegation which was organsied by the U.S.-Asia Institute. The primary focus of the delegation was to foster economic development opportunities between the U.S. and China, and to promote U.S. exports. As the host in Hong Kong, the Foundation’s Executive Director Ms. Karen Tang accompanied the delegation during their stay in Hong Kong.
On 2 September 2011, the Foundation’s Executive Committee Chairman Mr. Ronnie Chan; Council Members Dr. Roy Chung, Ms. Judy Yu, Mr. Joseph Yu, Mr. Tony Choi, Mr. Albert Ip, Mr. Philip Ma, Ms. Diana Chou and Mr. Sebastian Man; and Executive Director Ms. Karen Tang hosted a luncheon for the delegation and exchanged views with the delegates on developments in Hong Kong and the Mainland China.
