2017 Shanghai-Hong Kong Forum: One Country, Two Systems and Prospects of Cooperation between Shanghai and Hong Kong

The Foundation, together with the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences (SASS) and Shanghai Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CCPC), organized the forum on “Practice of ‘One Country, Two Systems’ and Prospects of Cooperation between Shanghai and Hong Kong” on 8 June 2017 aimed at further promoting collaboration between Hong Kong and Shanghai as well as to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the HKSAR. It was the twelfth annual forum that was jointly organized by the three organizations. This year’s forum was co-organised by 
Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao Exchange Office of the SASS and supported by the Shanghai International Economic Exchange Foundation, Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of Shanghai People’s Government, Chinese Association of Hong Kong & Macao Studies and Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Shanghai of the HKSAR Government.

More than a hundred experts, scholars, government officials and entrepreneurs from Hong Kong and the Mainland attended the forum. The Deputy Chairman of the Shanghai CCPC Mr. Zhang Endi, President of the SASS Prof. Wang Zhan together with the Foundation’s Executive Committee Chairman Mr. Ronnie Chan officiated at the opening ceremony of the forum. The Foundation’s Council Member Mr. Andrew Yao also gave a speech at the keynote session.
