The Foundation, together with the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences (SASS) and Shanghai Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CCPC), organized the forum on “‘One Belt, One Road’ and Financial Collaboration between Shanghai and Hong Kong: Opportunities, Challenges and Prospects” on 2 November 2016 aimed at further promoting collaboration between Hong Kong and Shanghai. It was the eleventh annual forum that was jointly organized by the three organizations. This year’s forum was supported by the Shanghai International Economic Exchange Foundation. More than a hundred experts, scholars, government officials and entrepreneurs from Hong Kong and the Mainland attended the forum. The Deputy Chairman of the Shanghai CCPC Mr. Zhang Endi, President of the SASS Prof. Wang Zhan together with the Foundation’s Executive Committee Chairman Mr. Ronnie Chan officiated at the opening ceremony of the forum. Invited by the Foundation, Mr. Wesley Kong from Haitong International Securities Group Ltd gave a presentation at the forum’s afternoon session
