Founded in 2008 by Prof. Thierry de Montbrial, Chairman of the French Institute of Foreign Relations (Ifri), the World Policy Conference (WPC) held its eleventh edition from 26 to 28 October 2018 in Rabat, Morocco. The WPC’s mission is to reflect upon and to come up with solutions to the constant upheavals of today’s world and to create lasting bonds between the participants. This international conference gave a voice to political, economic, academic and media players from over 40 countries.

Initiated and organized by the Foundation, a plenary session entitled “One Belt, One Road” was held in this year’s conference. The Foundation invited Mr. Leung Chun-ying, Vice Chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and former Chief Executive of the HKSAR, Mr. Shi Vikram Khemka, Vice Chairman of SUN Group, and Dr. Bayu Krisnamurthi, former Vice Minister of Trade of Indonesia to speak and share their insights in the session. The session was moderated by the Foundation’s Executive Committee Chairman Mr. Ronnie Chan. The Foundation’s Executive Director Ms. Karen Tang participated in the conference.
