From February 26 to 27, the Foundation organized its first delegation to Shenzhen and Huizhou, aiming to gain a better understanding of cooperation and exchanges between Hong Kong and the two Mainland cities within the framework of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. As the development of the Greater Bay Area continues to deepen, there are enormous potentials and broad scope for collaboration among the parties in areas such as finance, technology, youth development, and cultural exchanges. Led by the Foundation’s Executive Committee Chairman Ronnie Chan, the delegation comprised 14 members, along with invited guest Fang Zhou, Research Director of the One Country Two Systems Research Institute.

In Shenzhen, the delegation was pleased to meet and exchange views with leaders of the Shenzhen Municipal Government. We also visited Huawei Technologies Co Ltd and Tencent’s Shenzhen headquarters for in-depth discussions with their senior executives. In Huizhou, the delegation was hosted by Yeung Kin-man, the Foundation’s Trustee and President of Biel Crystal (HK) Manufactory Ltd. He introduced the company’s leading global solutions for smart device exterior structures and module solutions. A visit to the advanced local production plant was arranged, which proved to be highly enjoyable and enlightening for the delegation.
