On 19 September 2025, the Better Hong Kong Foundation celebrated a major milestone—our 30th Anniversary—with a joyful dinner at the Rosewood Hong Kong. The evening brought together our trustees, corporate sponsors, council members, friends, and long-time partners who have journeyed with us over the past three decades, making it a truly memorable family gathering.
Guests were welcomed into a warm and festive atmosphere, highlighted by a creative photo booth featuring a rendition of President Jiang Zemin’s iconic calligraphy scroll 香港明天更好 (A Better Hong Kong Tomorrow), gifted to the Foundation on 1 July 1997.

The celebration began with a heartfelt welcome from our Executive Director, Karen Tang, followed by the debut of the Foundation’s new corporate video. Ronnie Chan, Chairman of our Executive Committee, then took the stage to share stories from the Foundation’s early days and reflect on how far we have come.

After a toast to the Foundation’s 30th anniversary, guests participated in one of the evening’s most symbolic moments—flying paper planes inscribed with personal messages of hope and aspiration. This simple yet powerful gesture captured the spirit of looking ahead to a future full of possibility.

The highlight of the evening was the inspiring keynote speech delivered by Leung Chun-ying, former Chief Executive of the HKSAR and Vice Chairman of the CPPCC, who previously joined our delegation to the U.S. as a speaker in 2007. He encouraged us to continue striving for what we can achieve together.

As the evening drew to a close, each guest received a special goodies bag and luggage tag featuring the tagline “Connect. Engage. Collaborate”, and the event name “30 Years of Vision.
