From 27 May to 7 June 2013, ten graduate students of the USC Price School of Public Policy participating in the Price China Lab spent two weeks in Hong Kong, meeting with experts and practitioners, doing site visits and working collaboratively on the project. The Lab is designed to provide participants with consulting-type experience, applying classroom knowledge in a real world professional context outside the United States. The focus of this Lab is Hong Kong and the heavily urbanized Pearl River Delta region of China and on six areas namely economic, social services, crime, transportation, housing and environment.
On 7 June 2013, the final day of the Lab, the Foundation hosted a luncheon presentation where students showed the documentary on their research and findings to our members and guests who served as their “clients” to comment on the presentation. The Foundation’s Executive Director Ms. Karen Tang and Council Members Mr. Sebastian Man and Mr. Tommy Hui together with invited guest Mr. Franklin Lam shared and discussed their views and comments with the students.
