On 18 December 2020, the Foundation and Hong Kong Association of Overseas-Returned Scholars jointly organized a virtual conference entitled “Geo-economic Analysis of the Belt & Road Initiative and Hong Kong’s Role as a Connector Between the World and the Greater Bay Area”. The Foundation’s Executive Committee Chairman Mr. Ronnie Chan gave the opening remarks at the virtual conference where Prof. James Wang, Research Director of the Belt & Road Hong Kong Centre gave a presentation on the topic. Over a hundred of audiences from Hong Kong and the Mainland participated in the virtual conference, including the Foundation’s Trustee Dr. Adrian Cheng’s representative Dr. Wendy Hong; Council Members Dr. Roy Chung, Mr. Joseph Yu, Dr. Frankie Yeung, Mr. Dominic Pang, Mr. Dario Pong, Mr. Alex Yip, Mr. Allen Shi and Mr. Bosco Law; and Executive Director Ms. Karen Tang. The virtual conference was live streaming on Bilibili, a popular video sharing platform in Mainland China.
