On 28 August 2026, the Foundation’s Executive Committee Chairman Ronnie Chan led a 15-member delegation to visit the global headquarters of GX Foundation. The visit was hosted by Leung Chun-ying, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and Chairman of GX Foundation.
During the visit, Mr. Leung provided a detailed introduction to the background and key milestones of GX Foundation. Established in 2018, GX Foundation serves as a non-governmental organization complementary to official foreign aid. Leveraging Hong Kong’s unique advantages under “One Country, Two Systems”, the GX Foundation delivers medical and public health humanitarian assistance internationally with high efficiency. It currently operates on-the-ground projects across 13 countries in four continents and actively nurtures young humanitarian talent.

Members of the Foundation expressed high praise and appreciation for GX Foundation’s contributions to promoting people-to-people connectivity under the Belt and Road Initiative and advancing international humanitarian relief. Both sides also exchanged views on leveraging Hong Kong’s distinct advantages, promoting people-to-people diplomacy, and supporting the nation’s engagement in global governance.
