In Loving Memory of One of Our Founders – Dr. LEE Shau Kee

With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of one of our cherished founders, Dr. Lee Shau Kee, on March 17, 2025. Dr. Lee was a towering figure in Hong Kong’s real estate industry, celebrated for his pivotal role in shaping the city’s developmental landscape. His remarkable contributions not only propelled Hong Kong’s economic growth but also encompassed extensive support for educational initiatives, nurturing a brighter future for generations to come.

Dr. Lee’s philanthropic endeavors were vast and impactful. He generously donated to all nine universities in Hong Kong and spearheaded “The Warmth Project” in 2005, contributing RMB330 million to train 1,000,000 farmers and 10,000 village doctors across 1,000 counties in China. This initiative became the country’s largest charity-based training program. In recognition of his lifelong dedication to education and community service, Dr. Lee was bestowed with the GBM, the highest accolade by the HKSAR in 2007.

Dr. Lee wasn’t solely the visionary leader who laid the foundation of our organization but also a wellspring of inspiration and resilience for us all. In the face of this profound loss, we reflect on the extraordinary legacy Dr. Lee leaves behind – a legacy defined by innovation, integrity, and unwavering dedication to our shared goals.
